Experience and Education
In the 1990’s Ralph Spandl studied and worked in his native Germany, graduating from HdK Berlin (Hochschule der Künste - University of Fine Arts) with a Masters in Visual Communication (specialisation in Interactive Media Design) in 1997 and several years of experience at ART+COM Berlin, one of the leading interactive design firms in Europe. Projects in Germany were web sites and CD-ROMs for such clients as Mercedes-Benz, Deutsche Telekom and the KSK-Bank of Germany.

He moved to Montreal 1997 having received an offer from Mosaic Design, a full-service design and communications agency, to take charge of its’ Interactive Department. Ralph left Mosaic in January of 2003 to establish his own clientele and co-founded quattrocento communication in June 2004 and continued to pursue his work as an Information Architect and Interactive branding producer. 

Present
In November 2008, Ralph decided to take the r42 road, seeking to focus on what he does best – Interactive Branding and development of engaging and effective user experiences.

Awards
Winning design or interactive design awards is not a goal at the top of our list but when it happens we don’t refuse them. We’re proud to have won a couple for the Mosaic Design promotional CD-ROM (Boomerang and MIM), a promotional CD-ROM for Lumec (Boomerang) and Ville de La Sarre (Concours de l'APDEQ : Outils du 21ième siècle).
