Project Description

Having worked on the architecture, design, programming and SEO of the previous version of their web site, Tandem Studio’s came back to us when they reworked their brand. This dynamic photojournalistic style wedding photography studio was eager to get their new branding applied online. They were also ready to make some adjustments to take advantage of the latest technology changes.

This was the perfect opportunity to improve two key site elements: image size and usability. We pushed the width of the site to take advantage of the ever increasing size of computer screens. The site being a portfolio showcase, it was important to give as much space as possible to the images. The larger space allowed us to move the navigation around, increase image size and add a filmstrip for navigating users through the image galleries. This change greatly improved usability; enticing users to browse through the galleries.

Having worked diligently on the search engine optimization for the old version of the site, this was not forgotten in this redesign. Great care and a lot of additional work must be included when building Flash-based sites. They are not SEO friendly but they offer unparallel elegance for artistic portfolio showcases.
