Project Description
For this site, our collaborator, The Strategist, worked on the branding side of the project while we worked on structure, as well as the implementation of web site and extranet functions into our prefered content management system, Kentico CMS.
For Dorbec's sub-contractors, the extranet is the new portal to easily access architectural plans, CAD drawings and other essential documentation necessary in order to construct their bid.
Once through the bidding process the final project is created and then Dorbec very simply opens another section for the project where they post the working documents - all final specs and blueprints that will be needed by the selected collaborators.
No more fighting with how to transfer these huge electronic documents to other companies who don't necessarily have the best computer skills. This section is managed 100% by the non-internet tech specialists at Dorbec. One instructional session and they were off and running with their system.
