The second issue of Kentico Developer Magazine was published two weeks ago already, but only now I found the time to actually read it. Once found, my time was absolutely not wasted at all: the magazine — along with the web site — is about to establish itself as the first pilar of the Kentico Community.
In the well-written cover story, Candice Pendergast tells us more about the magazine founders. I greatly appreciated this article, not only for learning about the context of the magazine, but also to see that web developers are figthing with pretty much the same problems all over the world. A highly recommended read.
The second issue of the KDM features Candice and Richard Pendergast
The rest of the magazine sees Richard starting the series on how to convert a Wordpress blog into a Kentico site and Matthew Lee shows us some tricks on how to customize the FCK Editor in Kentico. And then there's my article, I am discussing a new submission to the Marketplace; an example how to customize and style the new smart search results and the universal page footer.
Finally this issue sees the start of a showcase section, with three short case studies of recently launched Kentico web sites.
